Our daughter Shirley started Super Dog treats, when she was 10 years old.  Her small business was part of a provincial government program, which encouraged school-aged children to start their own businesses and would give these young entrepreneurs $100.00 for start up costs. 

We had already begun making products for people using elk antler powder. To read more about the human product and elk antler click here.  Shirley thought that if elk antler was beneficial for people with arthritis, it should be good for dogs with arthritis.  She was right and thus began Super Dog.

Super Dog was an instant success with lots of good feedback from dog owners.  As time progressed, word of mouth advertising grew faster than Shirley could produce.

After graduating from high school she moved on to new adventures.

Royal Elk Products bought out Super Dog at that time and had a Feed Scientist change the formula to make it even better and most importantly, leaving in the EVA (elk velvet antler).

Super Dog’s new factory is now built and is able to manufacture many times more dog treats.
